Africa Foundation has been working with the community of Mnqobokazi since the organisation’s inception in 1992. One of the first projects that was identified when Africa Foundation began engaging with this community was the need for a high school. There are six primary schools in Mnqobokazi with collectively over 2,500 children enrolled, and an increasing number of children continuing to secondary level education. In 2018, the community approached Africa Foundation concerned with overcrowding at the only high school in the area at the time – KwaGiba High School.
