Working with over 70 rural communities, Africa Foundation responds to the identified needs of each community, which faces its own unique challenges and has it’s own innovative solutions. Most often these needs fall within the areas of healthcare, water and sanitation, education and livelihoods development. Our goal is to build thriving, and climate resilient communities with all of the basic services established, and with opportunities for local talent to reach their potential.
We also work with communities and stakeholders on initiatives that support the conservation of the fragile ecosystems surrounding these communities, protecting the natural biodiversity for generations to come.
All of our programmes are developed through collaboration and relationship-building with communities, Government and other stakeholders – a process which takes time but ensures sustainability.
